Goltens signs MOU with WE Tech Solutions to accelerate energy-efficient marine retrofits

Dubai, UAE / Vaasa, Finland – Goltens Worldwide and WE Tech Solutions Oy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote, sell, and deliver advanced marine retrofit projects aimed at improving vessel energy efficiency and reducing emissions.
Under the agreement, Goltens will act as WE Tech’s preferred (non-exclusive) global retrofit partner, supporting the deployment of WE Tech’s state-of-the-art energy optimization solutions across the commercial maritime fleet.

With extensive retrofit experience and strong in-region customer relationships, Goltens will serve as a turnkey delivery channel for WE Tech’s technology in the retrofit market.

The cooperation will focus on retrofit projects for a wide range of vessel types, including Ro-Pax vessels/ferries, Ro-Ro vessels, tankers, bulk carriers, and other segments prioritizing reduced fuel cost, lower emissions, and improved electrical system performance.
