At Goltens the reconditioning of piston rods is done utilizing the following methods: either grind undersize, weld build up and polish to a specified dimension. Prior to reconditioning a full inspection is performed to record the dimensional wear, LPI crack investigation, and to consult with customer as to the method of repair.
