On April 1, 2008 Roy Strand was promoted to Vice
President of Goltens Americas. In this new role, Roy
will have full profit & loss responsibility for
Goltens’ four business units in North America:
Goltens New York, Goltens Miami Service, Goltens
Miami Trading and Goltens California.
Since joining Goltens in August of 2006, Roy has
concentrated most of his efforts on reorganising and
stabilising the cost and management structures at
Goltens California (GMC). Additionally he
identified, quantified and penetrated new marine and
industrial markets with the result being increased
market share for GMC. The results of his efforts
with the dedicated and long-tenured management team
at GMC are increased customer satisfaction and
improved sales and operating results. Strand has
also identified and targeted new marine and
industrial markets for the other three Goltens
business units in the US. He has achieved measurable
success in these initiatives and maintains a high
degree of confidence and optimism that he and the
experienced and seasoned management teams in New
York and Miami will bring increased growth and
profitability to these business units as well. In
this capacity, Strand will report to Paul Friedberg,
the Goltens Worldwide (GWW) President of Services in
Dubai and Mark Rutkowski, GWW Chief Financial
Officer in New Jersey. “We congratulate Roy on his
promotion and well-deserved appointment and wish him
continued success and all the best in developing
Goltens in the Americas” says Friedberg."
