GOLTENS Shanghai Co., Ltd. signed a Service Agreement on 08th Sep 2006 with Yanmar Engine (Shanghai) CO., LTD for a period of 2 Years + 1 Year auto renewal for Yanmar Engines – Parts & Components Supplies, Onboard Service Jobs and In Shop Service Jobs.

 

Goltens Shanghai have signed an exclusive service agreement with Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd in Korea on 7th July, 2006. Hanjin Shipping is the largest South Korean shipping company operating cargo vessels of all types all over the world. It owns and manages a total of 58 vessels ( 15 Containers, 40 Bulkers, 3 LNGs ) in addition to chartering 80 more container vessels.

They are now building a new ship repair yard near Shanghai in joint venture with Chinese ship yard. They are expected to start business by the end of 2007. This repair yard will carry out dry docking for 150 vessels per year primarily for Hanjin’s major partner container shipping companies. Mr. M.S. Kim, senior vice president of Hanjin Shipping has said that the order request for dry docking from Hanjin’s partners is being rushed and he convinces good success in this new repair yard. He also pointed out that Hanjin’s intention is not “short term” but “long term partnership” with Goltens in this respect.
