Goltens Worldwide signs Global service agreement with H. Cegielski Service
Ltd. |
|
Signed in March, Goltens Worldwide’s new global service agreement
with H. Cegielski Service brings great benefits to both parties.
Wholly owned subsidiary H. Cegielski Service provides aftersales
services for H. Cegielski - Poznan S.A in Poznan, Poland. H.
Cegielski-Poznan’s manufacturing program includes main propulsion
engines made under license from MAN Diesel A/S and Wärtsilä
Switzerland. With roughly 1,050 main engines in service, H.
Cegielski-Poznan produces around 20 main engines and 100 auxiliary
engines per year.
With the agreement allowing both companies to engage the technical
resources of the other, both companies intend to leverage their
relative strengths to the benefit of their customers. “We place
great value on the agreement’s potential based upon Goltens’
experience and ability to perform sophisticated repairs,
correspondingly equipped by proper, required tools, people and other
resources,” notes Jacek Wyszynski,
President/Managing Director of H. Cegielski Service. Central to
Goltens’ interest was Cegielski’s long-standing market reputation as
a high-quality manufacturer and Cegielski Service’s pool of expert
technical talent. “We felt that the coupling of Cegielski’s
worldwide service requirements with Goltens’ global network of
companies would provide significant benefits to all, and we are
extremely enthusiastic about the agreement,” says Goltens Worldwide
Services President Paul Friedberg.
